    1st Shift 7:00am-3:30pm

     

    This is a specialized position for a Wound Care Nurse.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Selected candidate will travel between two locations to administer care
    • The role of the selected candidate will be to develop and ensure the wound care plan specific for each patient in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
    • Other responsibilities include preserving the integrity of the skin by implementing and monitoring preservation strategies, ensuring all wound and skin care protocols are approved by medical staff, organizing multidisciplinary wound and skin rounds on a weekly basis for high risk patients and patients with current pressure ulcers and other significant wounds, providing hands-on wound care for all difficult and non-healing wounds, serving as a resource to all medical staff on all issues relating to wound and skin care, and documenting timely and accurately.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Selected candidate must be WOUND CARE CERTIFIED. 
    • Must have good communication skills to use with the patient care team, to include on-site and off-site providers, as well as proficient computer skills, as documentation is done using an electronic health record. 
    • Requires current licensure as registered professional nurse in state of Ohio as issued by Board of Nursing per Section 4723.03 of Ohio Revised Code.
    • Knowledge of professional registered nursing procedures; state & federal regulations, policies & procedures related to nursing; public relations; employee training & development*; inventory control.
    • Skill in operation of medical equipment (e.g., stethoscope, otoscope, blood pressure cuff, EKG machine).
    • Ability to deal with some abstract but mostly concrete variables; write meaningful, concise & accurate reports; gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things; demonstrate physical fitness.
