  • Overview

    Focuses on the adherence of policies and regulations of various contract types including, but not limited to the following:

    1. Residential Treatment Services Provider
    2. Child Placement Agency
    3. Child Welfare Services Provider Professional Services (Community Based Services)
    4. Community Mental Health Center Professional Services

    Contract compliance, service standard compliance and service validation are ensured through extensive compliance reviews conducted throughout the state.  The Field Auditor works in conjunction with various departments to achieve positive outcomes for the children and families.  

    Responsibilities

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Assure contracts meet established quality levels and conform to requirements set out by DCS and other review agencies by conducting contract compliance reviews and audits.
    • Develop contract clause and assurance checklists for use with all contract grantees to confirm compliance with all contract requirements.
    • Develop service-specific compliance checklists that include elements of the service standard for use with all grantees that have a contract for that specific service.
    • Conduct random sample audits of placement and service program cases to ensure compliance with Service Standards and to determine whether appropriate documentation exists to support the claim for service.
    • Gathers and analyzes data, prepares data summarizes, reports findings, interprets results and/or makes recommendations regarding contract compliance/performance reviews.
    • Reviews audit results with management to determine actions needed.
    • Writes or drafts correspondence, reports, documents, and/or other written materials.
    • Monitors completed audits for completion of audit findings, including payment of monies due to the state.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • This position requires extensive statewide travel weekly, with optional overnight stays during the week.

    Qualifications

     

    • Previous experience with compliance

    • Previous social service experience
    • Bachelor's Degree
