Position is responsible for the preparation, monitoring and maintaining financial reports concerning assets, liabilities, revenues and expenditures for internal and external purposes. In addition, position will perform analysis of financial activity regarding management and statistical reports for Office of Finance and Management.

• Responsible for the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reportsand preparing supporting schedules.
• Assists in the creation and documentation of accounting policy and procedures.
• Coordinates audit activities with external auditors and agencies.
• Responsible for the review and analysis of revenues, expenditures and balance sheet accounts.
• Responsible for the review of computer-generated data to determine if approved accounting procedures and accuracy was followed in recording transactions.
• Responsible for special projects and application of State and Federal reporting compliance.
• Responsible for development of management, narrative and statistical reports
• Analyzes complex financial data and extract and define relevant information.
• Interprets data for the purpose of determining past financial performance and/or to project a financial probability.

• 60% of Total Work Effort: One of several responsible for the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports for the City and County and preparing supporting schedules.
• 10% of Total Work Effort: Responsible for the preparation of computer-generated data following approved accounting procedures and accuracy in recording transactions.
• 20% of Total Work Effort: Responsible for special projects and application of State and Federal reporting compliance.
• 5% of Total Work Effort: Analyzes complex financial data and extract and define relevant information.
• 5% of Total Work Effort: Responsible for the review and analysis of revenues, expenditures and balance sheet accounts.

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business, or a related field with at least twenty four (24)
  credit hours of accounting and with at least one (1) year of experience with a public
  accounting firm or internal audit function of a firm, having a CPA or attaining a CPA is a
  plus
