  • Overview

    Position will serve as primary clerical position for Student Services.

    Responsibilities

    • Act as first point of contract for customers of the Student Services Center.
    • Primary person to answer SCC phone calls, be knowledgeable of the DVM program and its admissions process to answer student questions accurately, provide clerical services for members of the SSC team, and assist with cooridnating Director's calendar, communications and general work-product.
    • Assist the Director and the Admissions Manager in the activities related to the DVM admissions process, organization of information for Interview applicants, plan the Interview Day Events and Banquets, complete necessary record development in Banner (confidential data), and prepare and publish reports relating to admissions as requested by College Administration.
    • Represent PVM at various on-campus admissions/recruitment career fairs or programs, actively participate in giving tours of the Lynn Hall complex, answer questions relating to the DVM and VT programs, organize the logistics of various student related events (i.e. Freshman On-Boarding, Welcome Picnic, etc.), and determine the needs of future events and create such events in consultation with the Director.

    Qualifications

     

    • Advanced proficient computer skills (ie. word, excel, outlook, etc.)
    • Act as first point of contract for customers of the Student Services Center includes: prospective students and parents, current students and parents, Veterinary, Medical industry representatives, alumni, general College visitors, Veterinary Medical, Association representatives, College faculty and staff
    • Assist with cooridnating Director's calendar, communications and general work-product
    • Maintain working knowledge of student information and activities to allow for accurate dissemination of information
    • Be knowledgeable of the DVM program and its admissions process to answer student questions accurately
    • Be primary person to answer SCC phone calls
    • Maintain and respond to SSC email accounts
    • Maintain supply of all appropriate supplies and equipment as needed for the SSC
    • Provide clerical services for members of the SSC team
